Health & Safety Policy
Background
Proper management of Health & Safety issues is seen as an integral part of the efficient management of Solution Recruitment Ltd's activities. It is one of the critical elements that are central to establishing and developing our organisations professional culture and maintaining our sound reputation within the industry.
In pursuance of section 2(3) of the Health & Safety at Work Etc Act 1974, this policy, together with any appendices is intended to assist the Directors and employees with Health & Safety in their areas of work. The objectives of this policy are fundamental to our business and the Directors are responsible for ensuring that the requirements of this policy are achieved.
The organisational arrangements meet our Health & Safety responsibilities and objectives are detailed within Solution Recruitment Ltd's Health & Safety Handbook. Failure to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 could result in action being taken against our organisation by The Health & Safety Executive.

Aim
Solution Recruitment Ltd regards the management of Health & Safety as an integral part of its
business.
The Key principles that underwrite this policy are:
- To comply with legislation.
- To create a safe working environment for our employees.
- To provide a safe working environment to visitors.
- To act in a pro-active way and keep all accidents and incidents to a minimum and to take appropriate remedial action when they do occur.
- To adopt a best practice Health & Safety culture.
- To contribute to the establishment of a professional culture.

Health & Safety Policy
Method
a. Responsibilities
The Directors have overall responsibility for the organisations Health & Safety, ensuring that employees are appropriately trained and that standards are delivered on a daily basis.
All employees have a responsibility to adhere to the requirements of this policy statement and are expected to read the relevant sections of the Company Health & Safety Handbook and take responsibility for their area, familiarise themselves with it's provisions and carry out their defined responsibilities.
A copy of Solution Recruitment Ltd's Health & Safety Handbook is given to each employee. A copy of this handbook is available in the office and will be available to all employees on request.
Employees are expected and encouraged to be proactive on Health & Safety issues as part of the continual development of the Heath & Safety culture of the organisation and the handbook describes the arrangements for employee consultation and feedback.
b. Training
A Health & Safety induction are compulsory for all employees of Solution Recruitment Ltd. In addition as appropriate the organisation will also provide Health & Safety training and Health & Safety advice for all employees.
c. Qualifications
Solution Recruitment Ltd will ensure that only competent, trained and suitably qualified employees will carry out the business of the organisation.
d. Emergency ProceduresAll employees will be trained as appropriate and will be required to be knowledgeable in the organisations emergency procedures.
e. Communications
Employees are encouraged to report any Health & Safety matters to the person responsible for Health & Safety.
f. Risk Assessment
The person responsible for Solution Recruitment Ltd's Health & Safety will ensure that written risk assessments will be carried out annually for all areas. However when necessary relevant written risk assessment will be reviewed immediately after an incident.

Health & Safety Policy
Monitoring
Solution Recruitment Ltd's monitoring system when completed will be:
- Via accident report analysis
- A variety of daily, weekly checklists
- An annual Health & Safety Audit
Whilst internal accident investigation is not a specific legislative requirement it is considered best practice and will be implemented in all cases both to ensure that essential remedial actions are taken and to ensure that Solution Recruitment Ltd can provide appropriate evidence to insurers.
More serious accidents (as detailed in the reporting of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences regulation 1995) are reportable and will be investigated by the enforcement authorities.
